MarARThon – the invented word is an experience in itself.
On a late afternoon in July, six works were kicked off at once. Plenty of coffee and lots of laughter were part of the fun.The drawings from the MarARThon are now being continued step by step, until each one reaches its felt conclusion – and will be posted here one by one in a single thread.
Each piece is titled by order of appearance, starting with the first: 1 of 6.A short poetic text by Eugen accompanies the project:
The world stands still and strikes a pose – for the gesture.
Twenty fingers reshape life on paper,
and life – now and just a little earlier –
delights in its bold fall onto 250g/m².
The ox will no longer pull the cart…
hard to grasp, this quiet unfolding
of myriads of truly creative life-storms.
Yeah – we say thank you to life for the giving,
and join in… with six new drawings.

Stumbling hastily into the tangle of the curlicue city,
where dazzling creatures steal the spotlight from each other.
They say it’s four o’clock – just before the collar tightens.
