From an early age, I had a strong aversion to simple compact cameras. Although I had a children's camera equipped with rolls of film, the tedious and expensive process of developing the film left me dissatisfied.

While the compact design and practicality of the camera initially caught my attention and ignited my passion for photography, it became clear over time that it wasn't enough for my needs.

This led me to invest in my first SLR camera, which opened up a world of possibilities with countless lenses and creative experimentation. It was a milestone in my photography journey, enabling me to capture more dynamic and complex photos for more fulfilling experiences.

However, over time, I realized that I needed more – brighter, high-resolution images with less noise. My quest for better image quality led me to the Nikon Z7, which has been my go-to camera for the past two years.

I love taking photos of landscapes, architecture, plants, insects, and even nudes, pushing my creativity to new heights.

Image manipulation

Altering and manipulating images is a well-established technique that has been further enhanced with the advent of digital photography. The possibilities of mixing and matching are seemingly endless, whether through traditional methods using scissors and paper or the digital version. With the ability to digitize, dismember, and reshape almost anything, there is little consideration for composition or procedure. Personally, I experiment with photos using various programs until I achieve the desired result. This process can also be easily replicated on my smartphone, taking full advantage of its flexibility. However, the challenge lies in not getting lost in the possibilities and utilizing the full creative scope. As the saying goes, “can't see the forest for the trees.”

screen printing

“Discovering screen printing has been a recent fascination of mine, with a focus on designing t-shirts. Starting with a beginner's kit of a small wooden frame, mesh, chemicals, and inks, I quickly learned that screen printing is not to be underestimated. Despite the initial learning curve, this craft offers a great deal of creative freedom to produce one-of-a-kind designs. With practice and patience, I've honed my skills to create a collection of printed t-shirts for an exhibition. I've expanded to producing screens for larger canvases and collaborated with my partner on her Storm artwork. If you're interested in the world of screen printing, follow along to learn more about my journey.”

Painting and printing

I am always looking for new ways to express my creative energy, and painting with acrylics and printing with the Gelly method have opened up new avenues for me to create artwork. In my surreal and abstract paintings, I allow the concept to develop organically during the creative process, and there is nothing more thrilling than seeing my work take shape and become a unique piece of art.

I love experimenting with different techniques to provoke my inner curiosity and break away from the norm. It is satisfying when not everything follows a set order. It doesn't always have to be logical and orderly. Feelings such as curiosity, fear, confusion, incomprehension, opposing, even crazy or absurd can be expressed.

Printing with the Gelly method has opened up a whole new world for me. It is fascinating how I can utilize unpredictability and chance to create unique and captivating multi-layered images. I enjoy experimenting with different textures and patterns and using the diverse possibilities that this technique offers to express my creativity.
